Letter signed by William Brown and Henry Adams dated 30 March 1858 on back of a Bill of Particulars pertaining to the auction of items from the estate of the late Henry Tomkins. Brown is the land agent that sold the items. The auction took place on March 5, 1858 at the Commercial Hall. The letter declares Adams to be the purchaser of Lot 2 at the sum of 20 pounds. Adams also paid 16 pounds for the materials of the cottage to be pulled down on Lot 1. The letter also lays out further conditions of the sale.
