Prior to the April 1958 annual dinner for present and former law clerks of Justice Harlan, five cases were selected from the October 1957 term for commenting upon by the clerks.  Commentary was submitted by Wayne Barnett, Leonard Leiman, Norbert Schlei, Paul Bator, William Lifland, and E. Barrett Prettyman, Jr., then redacted for the identity of the writers (in most instances) and assembled for circulation among the dinner’s attendees.  These are the opinions provided with regard to Harmon v. Brucker (355 U.S. 579).
