Brochure for Henry Adams' Estate Auction and the purchasing contract of Henry Beckett, dated 1 September 1882. Mr. Parkes was the auctioneer and A.W. Vaisey the solicitor. The estate was comprised of seven cottages on Henry Street, as well as a dwelling house, shop and business premises on Frogmore Street. The auction took place at the Green Man Inn in Tring. On the back of the brochure is a contract signed by Henry Beckett purchasing lot 1 for 340 pounds. He paid a deposit of 50 pounds.
